If i tighten up the spring do i need to worry about the lowering links?

Nope.   You are just going to have to try a few different things and track days..

On the 99 you will need to buy the cushion as well, friend just went through the exact same thing.  Make sure your timing chain tensioner has been upgraded.  There was a recall on it!!!!!! Its free through suzuki.
Bought 04/21/05 silver n blue busa. TI force, 16/42 , chrome lowereing clamp, lowering links, speedoheeler, double bubble, bar ends, fairing screens, tobin seats with pad, GANN arm, chrome carrezzios, carpenter 1397,vortec rearsets, mps nos, air shifter

yeah,very true,the 99s stock clutch suck like hell :evil: my 03 and 05 is sooo much smoother

If the 99 clutch is worse than my 02 it really sux. Ive got my clutch mod but im waiting on a high volume oil pump gear and other parts before i put it in.

05 busa,5"longer, lowered front and rear, 16t f and 43t rear, yosh pipe.  Im 220lbs and ran 6.20ish @114.
