another cam degree question

I ve found TDC. Made a piston stop , mounted degree wheel etc..

The cams have been out for awhile , cause the head work.  So  my question is where do I drop them in at? They have ape gears, with (1) dot , (2) dots , and (3) dots.....? Do I start with the (1) dot straight up?

1 Dot should line up with the head on the exhaust side.  2 dots should be close to straight up and down on the exhaust cam, this is where you start your pin count, 3 dots should be close to straight up on the intake cam to end the pin count.  All of this depends on how close the sproctet adapters were pressed on.
