Trip on a k5?
« on: July 26, 2005, 11:54:08 AM »
Whats the longest trip you guys have taken on a liter bike?  Also what year model was it?  Wanting to know about comfort factor thats all.  I love the Busa but that damn k5 is so fast and fine.
It is not so much about you owning the Bike as it is the Bike owning a part of you.

It,s not like a busa at all, 1hour is about it, It,s not as nice a seat as the 04 GSXR 1000, I am 6,4 227 pounds, 35 years old,100 miles is about all you can take.

I plan on getting a corbin seat.

and I would never give up my BUSA!

look at the seat on your 03 then the 05, the 03 is 3 times the thickness, thats were the problem is.

thezx10 is comfy.(considering).The seat isn't long like the 04 gsxr1000 was but it's padded enough. on the gixxer I felt like I was always sitting on the tank and I could scoot back a ton and end right back up on the tank.
The zx keeps me right in the seats thickness where I need to be.
I thought the 04 gsxr1000 was a comfy bike as well.

5'10" 185 #'s 55 years old. I did 394 miles on a Sunday ride 3-4 weeks ago. Not as comfortable as my 'Busa but much better than I had expected.
Awesome machine.

I agree,  not as comfy but damn close.  I could ride the 05' for 500 miles without any issue.   Even 500 on my Busa gives me a soar ass.

500 miles on any bike is going to give you a sore ass.  I stop every 80-90 miles and walk around for 15 -20 min. By then you're really itching to get back on.
