What is all needed / prices to upgrade to 1397 kit?

I know pistons, rods, muzzy fan wouldn't hurt,  what else though?  any clutch mods?

P.S.  I'm trying to learn, so no "noob" comments

Marc,

Generally when you upgrade, you have to send in your block for a core and you will get in return the pistons and new block. (APE for example)  If not expect a core charge.  Your stock rods will be fine unless you start racing and using NOS.  Heavy duty 60 to 70# valve springs are recommended, get your cams degreed and some HD clutch springs and you'll be good to go for normal riding all day long.  You will probably want to convert your starting system to a 24 volt for the higher compression.  Make sure you get a clutch slave support when you install your clutch springs to keep it all together.  A good exhaust and PC3R or USB and you are set for alot of fun on pump gas all day long.  While you are down, go ahead and install the Muzzy fan blade...good insurance.  Of course fresh oil and plugs won't hurt either.  If you don't have braided lines now would be a good time to install especially on the clutch.  The rest you can add as you go...it is all relevent "the deeper your pockets, the faster your bike!"  Go to SchnitzRacing .com for some prices and links to other sites.  Lee'sPerformance.com

Have fun and be safe,

Steve
