« on: August 16, 2005, 10:34:17 AM »
Hey my name is Dustin, i am new at this website. I have been reading alot of acrticles yall have posted. I just bought an 05 busa. What i am wanting to ask, seems like d&d sounds to be the best pipe for the busa the deep aggressive sound. I was wondering if i bought them would i have to re map my bike, I want the slip ons. Where would be a good cheap place to buy them. Thanks alot everyone

read more threads.. the D&D isn't the best according to the majority...

as far as re-mapping... for most if not all slip-on systems you don't need to re-map. It's when you go to a full system and re-map that you get the best results.

The stock one...can't beat the deal, it's only 1 hp less than the others, and there's no installation required.

My buddy just put some polished d and  d slipons on his bike and loves the sound. i like my yosh full system for the power and the lack of police presences at higher speeds. If you will be putting around town the d and d is loud and the way to go. No hp gaines the slipons were heavier then the stock ones.

A stock system weighs about 30 pounds.
The D&D slip ons are loud and weigh more than the stock mufflers.
A Ti Force full system weighs about 10 pounds total.
Do you want noise or do you want performance?
Oft times you can get a good deal on a full system and a PC in the for sale section of .org.

Guys here keep putting on these funny rotary mufflers......

It seems the the stock will work for now. I ran with some guys today and I seen a power programer on a rc51 honda. I asked him about it and he told me the it would be a waste of money for my bike becuse of the of the kind of bike I had? What do you guys think????????

Tell the guy on the RC51 honda to fuck off.  He obviously don't know what the fuck he is talking about.  Stock you don't NEED a programmer (I am assuming you mean a power commander) but with mods you definately need it to get the best performance, keep the bike from running to lean or rich depending on mods.  The sky is the limit.
It is not so much about you owning the Bike as it is the Bike owning a part of you.

it all boils down to whether you want looks and sound, or performance. The good thing about the bus is you can get both. Dont sell your self short. Look through here, get parts, bit by bit and dont get a slip on unless you can sell it for what you paid.

Whatever brand you decide on, a full system just isn't that much more money. Hell, some 4:1s are cheaper than a pair of bolt-ons since you're only paying for one can.
Meanwhile,back on the tuna boat.....
