Whats the fastest you have ever -really- been on your busa

I am sure the ones on here that do not know me,will not believe me.

Speed-o-healer recall reads 185 everyday i ride.Go ahead and say i'm stupid,but for the last 13 years,i run all my bikes as fast as they will run everytime i ride,i want to make sure the 6th gear rev limiter is working. :lol:We have plenty of roads to do this daily.Matter of fact,done it probably 10 times tonight skreet racin'.

Zookman once read that if you wind it out(not blowing the engine or anything) each time out.  That your bike will run faster than one that justs cruises along.  Don't know if it's true?

My fastest 150, on a 2 mile straight. Coming up on a truck like it was in reverse.  Had to pull out.  A mile later trooper waiting in the median(wasn't speeding then).  Mine is the only Busa in my county. I think.  Now run w/ radar, just to be safe!

Several short bursts to the 130's and 140's, so far the highest top speed recorded was 156GPS (if you disallow the 318mph fluke that my GPS gave me once)... Busa amazes me, seems like 120. Rock solid and stable. Slow down to 55 and you believe you can get off and walk.

Dang if you only had some pic,s of the bike and the 318 GPS That would make for some big talk all over the internet boards

Hit the limiter in 6th with 17/43 gearing. Gear calc says thats about 187.

TRE w/ Turbo and NOS, speedo pegged in 6th w/ 18/40 gearing. My Garmin died the day before so...who knows.

I do know ya run out of road on this island REAL quick at those speeds

Couple facts that I mentioned up front there when the speedometer if pinned to the 185 needle for a while you are only going 160 or so. I know I do it occasionaly.

There is just so much traffic up here and so few good straight roads.....

My own personal race track just doesnt make it.

Even w/ my yellowbox, it still is off +2mph. Don't know accuracy on GPS.

I remember seeing someone post a 240+ GPS screen back in like '01 right before his '00 spit a rod and caused a crash

All I know is I hold it held it wide open in 6th for a couple of miles after it was wound out. Stock gearing. I don't look down when going over 185mph so I don't really know the RPM's but bike was done accelerating.

I changed my TRE now so my Busa only runs around 185hp.....but gets there faster.

GPS's are error prone.  If the number seems too good to believe, it is.  Generally it was dead nuts on at Maxton, but I have no idea how I came up with this number.

 At 160 I had a front tire wobble,got hyperpro damper now I peg the speedometer and keep on going.

 However fast a bone stock 05 Busa will go with 260+ lbs. in the saddle, I had it pinned for awhile, so not quite sure!! Mileageking says 160's, so there you go.
