well I have the same goal in mind.  03 gsxr 1000 with velocity stage 2
I had a set of falicons in my completly built motor.  A rod bearing seized up and shot the rod out the block.  Their was no knocking noise or anything.  It was on the dyno with the guy operating the dyno on the bike and I was right next to it.  It just blew up all of a sudden.  Granted the rod bearing seizing up didn't help anything.  Their was a lack of oil for some reason.  2 and 4 also had marks on the bearing and 3 seized.  Every person I have talked to and has seen the rod says not to use falicon rods.  The only person that recomends falicon is velocity.   I asked velocity why and they said that if a rod bearing goes out you can hear it and it will hold together long enough to shut off motor before it breaks.  All others will just shoot out the motor and not give a warning.  I told them about mine and they said that was the first time they have ever heard that happen.
So I am putting the falicons in my back up motor and a set of je turbo pistons.  My good completly built motor will be getting a new set of carrilos when I re build it.
I know crowers are used in big busa motors with the bigger bolts.  I am not that experianced with turbo 1000 motors, but I know I will never use falicons again.
Hopefully dennis can give some recomendations on crower over carrilo.

Yes, we both have a severe distaste for some of the same people.

I believe that they are in most if not all F1 cars.  I think they would be highest dollar rod anywhere.   They are parent company of CP pistons.

Last year Rodger Dyers agreed to make a set out of M300.  I think they would hold all you could throw at them.  But I was looking at over 1600 for one off's I passed.    Crower has best bang for the buck in my opinion.  If you can wait for ever to get them.  2 months plus on each order.  Carrillo's are ususally readily availible and I think that you pay the extra $$ for convienence.  But they are great rods too.
