Let me tell you about my personal experience, take from it what you will.
I drove 10 hours from MA to OH. When I was there he work from 8AM-10PM, even on a night it was illegal to do so, just so I could race in a special event at New England Dragway. I went there with 289HP and left with 351HP on PUMP GAS!!!! And it had previously been tuned by a TURBO EXPERT!?!?!?!?! He rebuilt the whole motor, did more custom machine work then I was planning and all in time. Gave me some of his personal stuff, just so I would be ready in time. And cut me a SUPER DEAL to boot!!!
While I was there he handle many other customers, no one was forgotten. His advise is best characterized as "tough love", but he helped out everyone who called. Although he is a little moody....LOL
As for him trashing others products. Well he does like his fabricated parts, but he showed me many examples of how his products are superior in strength to many others. As for turbo kits, Mr. Turbo was the only one I heard him trash. Come on guys, we know that's just being honest. He had nothing but great things to say about NLR. And he talked me into using the AMS1000 on my 620+HP Turbo I am building. And NLR sells his kits. I have spoken a number of times with NLR, those guys know thier sh*t and have never had a bad word to say about Dennis to me. As for Velosity Racing, he commented to me about how you put out a quality product and it's worth the money. He showed me the differences between your kit and his, never trashing yours, just comparing. And we spoke of the crash and how we both hoped all was well. He told me he heard good things pertaining to returning health. So I don't understand the hostility. You must have your reasons, but I think those feelings are more single sided.
Dennis is a character, if you can't deal with getting your balls busted, STAY AWAY!!! But deep down, he's a good guy. From everything I observed. I am going back for my 620+HP Turbo buildup. Crower Big Bolt Billet Rods, same as the 700HP Turbo guys are using. And huge studs throughout. Not to mention billet everything. Actually only the crank, cases, cylinder and head will be factory. Well that's what I saw. And the way he treated me as a customer, he will always have my business. I am a hard person to please. But he has earned my loyality. BTW, why the hell is NLR all the way on the other side of the dam country, can't guys open a satalitte location on the East Coast. We like speed in the snow just as much as the next guy...
Iam not sure what all the hostility is about. Dennis has his own personality, but he seriously is good to his peeps. Although I am sure he will have some shitty ass statement to me about sticking up for him. Now that's a real asshole. Doesn't even let you stick up for him.....LOL How can you not like him!!!! You crack me up man, stay just the way you are. You wouldn't be fun if you wheren't this way.
BTW when are you going to call me back???? I want those Crower Rods!!!! You see turning your back on your customers again........LOL Give me a call when your not to busy bro. Don't sweat it, no one talks shit about those they don't feel threatened by. I have lived with it all my life, when you get too the top everyone wants to bring you down. Take it as a compliment, they think so much of you, they have to talk about you. It is really a form of flattery, in a sick sence.
You treat me good as a customer and understand my specific needs and work out what you can to get there the cheapest, without cutting corners. That's what I want, FUCK ALL THE NAY SAYERS. Keep treated customers as you do and you'll be fine.
