125hp dry shot on a 1000
« on: November 21, 2005, 09:49:42 PM »
Friend of mine just put a 125 hp dry shot on a 04 1000. I havent seen him use it but he says he has used 2 bottles already. The bike is lowered all the way but not extended. Any ideas how it should run or for how long it will run? I would have to think that until the top of third or even fourth gear it would be unusable!!!

P.S.   I did say dry shot tooo!!!!!

Nope, 125 hp...Its a powershot solenoid with no jet.  It has 4 lines out of it that spray directly into the throttle boddies.

I had a buddy that sprayed a 100hp wet shot on a Honda 929 for about 6 months (every week at the strip) and it finally burnt up 2 pistons and put a big ass hole in the #3 sleeve.  :P

Without modifying the fuel injection system the engines toast
At the very least it will need pistons and rods for that much power and how is he pulling the ignition out?

he probably even want to give it a try on pump gas? :(
on this board ar people who see the title:125hp dry shot on stock bike, but some people dont read the thread and if someone asks them one day about nitrous,he will tell the people:oh,yes i saw it on sh.org a 125dry shot will do fine on astock engine, etcetc

How is he adding extra fuel to compensate for that much nitrous?? What is his a/f ratio at?? :?

Im pretty sure he isnt adding any fuel and no idea what his a/f ratio is, im sure they dont either.

I call BS.  Is it streched?  Does he have a progressive on it?  That bike will flip over his head before it blows up?

Flipping over or blowing up is the only thing in His future if He try's it!!

I was told the 1k stock pistons will only take a 40 shot tops before denting in!!

all they did was move the cold air sensor to the center of the box,  this was there cure for adding fuel. Some how they figure a powershot solenoid with no jet and split 4 ways is only a 75 shot which still seems like alot to me. They have 4 nozzels, 1 in each throttle body boot. And NO, they didnt do anything for the timing issues. I guess they were running some 120 octane oxygenated fuel.

hmmmm I think you'll find the cold air sensor advances the ignition on the Suzukis and that the stock fuel injectors are only capable of flowing 220bhp when switched permanently on!!!So unless he was making 90bhp before the gas he's in trouble :D :D :D

Im not sure how moving the sensor works, They have 4 solid lines coming off the solenoid that point at the stacks. Seems no nos passes by the sensor anyways. hmmm I tell ya!!!

Sounds like it will blow up really fast.
gsxr 1000 pistons will take more then a 40hp shot of nitrous and the fuel will run out at 240hp even with a 1000 pump that has been shimmed to up the fuel pressure.

He could add 75 but he'll need more fuel compensation than that.  Think about it.  With nitrous the air entering is cold, pluss it has extra oxygen.  Just compensating for the temp drop alone is not enough.  Dangerous at 40 -  and F'ing horrible at 70-80!

At 70-80 he should pull out a little timing and drop a heat range in plugs.  100 with out pulling timing and colder plugs will do bad things to engines.  I actually lost two electrodes and sent 1/2 an exhaust valve head out the pipe when I forgot to alter timing when going from a 75 to 100 wet shot.

This guy says he's dumping 125 on a stock motor?  I can't believe it.  Not at all.

Even with a PC I don't think you could give that motor enough fuel. Wouldn't recommend riding behind that guy.

If he is using one 125jet and splitting it in to four lines (one per cylinder) that is 31.25 hp to each.
I am running four 20 jets and that give me a total of 63 more hp.He sould be getting a total of 126.2 hp give or take a couple hp.So if his bike makes lets say 155 hp stock and a added 126 hp that makes a total of 281 hp not good with out more gas.

Lee Shierts ran 7.9 @ 172 on a stock bore stock stroke 05/06 GSX-R1000 with just a BIG dry shot and his own custom fuel management system. There's a video of that run floating around here somewhere...
