Top speed estimator
« on: December 06, 2005, 01:25:27 PM »
Anyone have a link to that cute little program where you enter your final gearing and tire circumference along with hp and it will spit out an estimated top speed??

What error? I noticed the gear ratios don't change even though I change tire and gears. Aren't they suppose to change

redbusa - your file saves a ton of time and it's always been a great reference point for me! kudos!  :beechug:

I just hope people realize this is a tool not the answer... remember that CDa and frontal area are calculated strictly for the bike not bike and rider.

Those values are with a rider in tucked position. Your correct that there are many reality variables not taken into consideration, it's just a approximation calc.

Mav, the error was an obscure calc error in the excel spreadsheet that only Busa@11k could find . The gear speed calc had no problem.
