MY 1397 WITH MILD CAMS WENT 8.80 AT 163 MPH IN LATE FALL. THIS MARCH I WENT 8.72 AT 158 MPH. SPEEDS WILL INCREASE WITH GOOD COOL DRY AIR.

What is ur cam setup? Mine is a 385 web and a intake on exhaust. Hoping for 5.60's in the 1/8 with cool weather and some tuning.Went a 5.79 @ 129 last weekend in weather alittle cooler.

1397 JE 13/1 COMP. CARPENTER HEAD WITH HIS MEG 385'S I HAVE RUN 5.62 AT 128. THE MOTOR HAS HAD NO PROBLEMS. BEEN TOGETHER OVER 2 YEARS :thumb:

You can have a mild cam as you say, as long as you have a good head. and still runn a good number.

Best run to date without bottle. 8.79@160.5. 1/8th was 5.70@129.19 . 12:5-1 wiscos, cleaned up head and mega 385 cams. 17-41 gearing. extended ecu, 4 over arm. 1 battery start.

Yep - you would for sure.  May be different when i get a ported head (like you) and get 2 more inches of wwheelbase (like you)...  Oh maybe if i get a sidewinder too?

New best from yesterday's session, 131 60ft, 5.50 133.25 on motor ..I think it spinning in second though..multistage may be hitting a tad bit too hard.  163 is good mph..nice job man.

I really can't post times in here dont have a big motor or run good times, trying to find the right lockup setup is pain.
So we let trey get is big head, more wind resistains.................
