watch that b/p
« on: January 07, 2006, 04:14:02 PM »
i have a swingarm mounted bottle on my zx 12,i have been stepping it up for the last several weeks, but have been surprised at just how hard it was hitting, considering air temps have been mostly high 30's to mid 40's,i picked up a new dyno tune digital gauge on ebay for 79 dollars and change :D
i installed it on monday and took the bike for a ride this morning,1.25 lb bottle not quite full,a few short shots, the pressure started at 511 lbs, after 7 miles the b/p was 799 lbs,THE TEMP WAS 28 DEGREES,earlier this afternoon i took the bike for a longer ride,at sustained 65 pressure was 740's,at 60 it was high 750's,at 50  800,the last mile or less to my house 30 mph and 3 stop signs, pressure was up to 875 lbs when i got home,on the second ride the temp had risen to a balmy 34 DEGREES

hee hee, that deal was dumb luck,i seem to pay top dollar for everything, well there was one more deal, i just picked up a new zero gravity,sr clear for 38.35 not bad,and i got to put a bottle through the 12 today,it was all the way up to 46 degrees, and b/p was 950-985 lbs, until i emptied it,talk about a built in bottle heater, this may be a problem come spring time
