Stock wheelbase a 005 would probaly by OK.  If you're bike is extended it will be allot harder to launch than a 003.  I actually put more miles on my 003 than the stock BT56.  Hooks pretty good on the street and real well on the strip.  I have 1300 miles and 30-40 passes and still have some tread.  I also don't do pro-mod burnouts.  Just spin it to clean it off good.  For street the 005 will be fine but track traction will suffer.

Depends on which way you  launch it also :!:

i think i will try the out. if they suck i will get a 003 on a second rear rim and switch out. i went thru 003's in 1000 miles.

I had one on a 4" over ZX9 and it hooked good for about 3 months then went to hell. I have also heard the same thing from a few other riders. Seems that after they start to wear they lose traction really fast.

the 005 is alot harder then the oo3, alot of guys on the stunt team get these to burn off. Wow, 1000 miles, I had my 003 on all summer and got 5000 miles so far and its only 1/2 gone.

shinko's hook once worn a little better than they do new you just don't put as much heat in them as they wear or they get greasy and won't hook.It is more than likely why you say they won't hook after awhile.try it and see.less tire=less time to get heat into the tire=short burnout.....
