Yeah,
I think since it's winter, lots of people are sending parts out for work and now the mechanics and machinists are overloaded.  They probably have time for coffee in the summer.  I'm just glad I didn't try to send out anything for mine.  There's a chance that I can tune it before the mile, and it's really just down to my inexperience.  I hope you get your goodies Gary.  You'll have to explain what you mean by clearance for the starter sometime.
Yeah, it made 500 hp at 32 psi.

On 2000 12's the starter gear is internal and when you have the crank stroked and use aftermarket rods, the journal, Rods, and inparticular rod bolt head come a little too close to the starter gear. Therfore a small portion of the starter gear teeth must be machined down to give it the clearance for the big end of the rod. 2002-2005 ZX-12's have a little different set up and I think most people just run stock rods. I have seen
stock rods break clean under 250HP even though most people say they are good for 300-350HP, so I did not want chance it.

Good day for test and tune, no rain and good temp. If ya need a spotter
on them runs over 170mph, just let me know I'll borrow my Bro's bike and
pop over to your high speed run testing grounds.

Ya got a month to get that hairdryer churning up 350HP. Hope JC finds
a spot for the Dyno by then.

The site hinted at some pictures or videos but they never made it to the site.   :?    We'll have to make our own footage this time out.  I'm sitting very close to getting a helmet cam this time.  I've been wanting one for years.  It's a good time for sure.  Hopefully, the weather will be perfect.  I'll cross all my digits.   :D

Over200,

If you don't mind seeing a real slow stock bike run then you can check out my daughter's web site. She has a short clip of her Dad @ the TX Mile. It will give you an overall look of the layout but not a lot of detail.

Very nice footage of both your run and your daughter whooping up on all those folks in Hawaii.   :thumb:

You can see that the Texas Mile is a pretty nice setup.  The surface is perfect every inch of the way.  No cracks or potholes.

Yes, she is pretty tough on that bike and no doubt that she will beat me at the Texas Mile. If the rain holds off this Friday night were heading to San Antonio to run in the Shootout again. The Texas Mile finally updated the entry forms. Got get mine faxed over tomorrow.

I've got my bike ready enough to run.  Not optimal without a dyno, but it should do alright.  I'm just making the final tweaks to it since I believe the motor is safe now.  That's a load off my back for sure.  One thing on my list is to stick some motorhead performance stickers on my upper.  There sitting there ready to go on.   :D

I picked up a set of Pirelli Dragon Super Corsas in SC2 today.  They're take offs.  I'm going to mount a sportec M1 120/60 up front (because I have one laying around) and put the 190/55 super corsa on the back.  I'll put the 70 supercorsa on the front after the mile.  I'm taking vacation tomorrow to make sure I can get all the last minute tweaks in this weekend.  Gotta lower the ride height, fit the turbo upper, check everything over, change plugs and oil, test my intercooler notch job for leaks, clean the air filter.  I know a guy who has a way to whack the rotor pins and loosen them up where they float better.  I'm gonna check into that.  I have to find a leak in my shifter setup and maybe move the valve closer to the cylinder.  I need to chase down a wiring gremlin with my LM-1.  Lots of little things to do that can each turn into something larger if things don't go just so.  It adds up, and since I clean everything while I work on it, that takes time too.
And I need to install my motorhead performance stickers on the upper fairing.   8)

Just got everything loaded up and ready to head out for the Texas Shootout in Houston. Hope the weather holds out for Saturday. I am taking a week of vacation next week. Will have to convert the bike from a drag bike to a land speed bike and then back to drag bike over the next three weeks. Hope to have a lot of fun. See you guys at the Mile.

Rustman,
what sort of "gremlin" do you you have in yr LM-1???

I finally got mine working great (thanks DaveO) after fiddle-fukkin' with it a bunch.
I'll be at the Shootout today :D
Often wrong, but never unsure!!!!!
