Just saw it last night. Not to bad at all. kind of long in
the beginning and a little short at the end. Wish they
would have shown a little more engine build and a few
more runs on the salt and/or running the bike, but I
guess they had to lump it all in together. Over all
I'd say it was a good movie. I heard there was a
documentary made on him a long time ago. I think
it was called "offerings to the god of speed", anybody
seen it?

I looked for the documentary done by the same director/producer in the 70's. can't find it anywhere. amazon didnt recognize it. maybe if the movie pics up momentum, they might do a DVD release of the 70's documentary?

I'm going to see it next sunday here in phoenix.

It opened this week in Dallas, actually way up in Plano, going to see it this week.

(For the non-Texans, Plano is a suburb North of Dallas)

Saw it at the Maple Art Theater in Detroit yesterday morning.  Definitely well worth seeing.  It did end a little abruptly but was well done, especially for an Indie film.

Now where's a lemon tree when I need one??.... :6:

I liked it too. Great story about following your dreams. My wife wants to go see it again.

If you Google "Burt Munro" you'll find a letter Burt wrote to a friend in England describing his life with the Scout. An amazing guy.
