well here's my take on it. to do this, you would obviously need the gsxr subframe as well. where the problem comes is that you would need to cut and weld some to get the mounting brackets right. it would not just bolt right up because of the way the busa frame is cast.  look at the attachment points for the subframes on the two bikes.. the part that is cast on the busa is part of the subframe structure on the gsxr 1000. i thought about it, i might do it this summer.  :)

After comparing the two tails in pictures, I think you would have to use the Busa's subframe. It would need to be chopped and welded to fit the 1000 tail section plastic. The 1000 subframe looks to be radically different.  :?:

i did a photochop mock up of it a few months ago. the two body styles do NOT look right together at all., nor does the seat-to-tank positioning work out very well. you would basically have to fab a 100% custom subframe to make it work right....which is certainly possible.

The Poison Idea- TMH T61 Ultra kit (500+ hp), 3-deg frame rake, BST wheels, Speigler 8-pot calipers and masters, Mac 0-6 arm, full CF body work.

I fgured either a hacked up and rewelded stock frame or custom.  I would like to see a good photochop.

Post your photoshop, Bonedust!   :D

i didnt keep the original one i did...but here is a quickie i just did. man, i forgot how nice my graphic tablet at work makes PS. lol

i put a 1000 fender on the front too, with the trimmed down tail, the pigly front fender looked funny. i didnt do that on the original pic i mocked up. it actually helps blend the bike togeter a tad more. still....im not sure what i think of it..

 :o Sweet! :D

Now put on a lowered carbon fiber Catalyst tank, a Catalyst supersport race upper, carbon fiber hugger, shorty exhaust without can, and leave the cf parts clearcoated and the fiberglass parts black and that's the bike I'm building!   :D 8)
