oil cooler bypass help
« on: May 03, 2006, 06:42:35 AM »
I just installed a brocks megaphone system and the oil cooler lines are to close for comfort.I was wondering if it is safe to use Muzzys oil cooler bypass kit on my bike.It is street driven, long trips and also ran at the track.I read about a plug behind the oil filter do I need to remove that with this kit?I want to be sure its not going to starve the engine for oil.Any thoughts or suggestions, thanks in advance.

i don't think you should pull the plug out with a bypass only if you block them off,i don't think it will hurt anything i use too run one on every busa i built and was rode all week and raced on the weekends.

I HEARD OF A GUY WHO MADE AN ADAPTER (SOMEWHERE IN ALABAMA)THAT WENT ON ONE OF THE OIL LINES ON THE OIL COOLER SO HE COULD RUN BDE SIDEWINDER WITHOUT MELTING THE LINES

If you take off the oil cooler think about changing your oil a little more often!
