How much HP can the stock rods handle? Talking about NOS here, too.

I know people that are running 340. The only problem is, it's better to have the "insurance factor of an aftermarket rod that will safely handle 400+, rather than spend how many times more to fix a motor that has grenaded due to rod failure...   My .02

302hp , they handled letting go of the clutch with a 7" slick and the hp jumping from 260hp (stage 1) to 302 (stage 2) .
