OK I finally had some time to play with my bike

so I pulled the switch apart and cut the red wire where it splices into the yellow high beam wire, then  I fished a new wire up to the red wire I cut and now I have +12v in a nice clean package and the high beam still works

ya, i unsoldered the wires and ran new ones so i didnt have any extra connections...im goofy about stuff like that.

for the record, the 01 and 02 bikes have the same plug as the 03-up, the newer bikes just have one more wire running thru them.
