sound and fairing melting?
« on: March 08, 2006, 08:56:25 PM »
Sorry about the first post of a repeat question. My bad should have looked a little harder before posting.  I don't think that this one is in the FAQ's.  Did anyone ever have a problem with a BDE or Muzzy full system melting thier fairings?

Also what does a muzzy and a Akra sound like?  Loud or not?
I like loud and have heard a BDE and thought it was O.K. are either of the above mentioned any louder?
The Akra in question would be the 4-2-1 system?

PLEASE HELP, wanted a good exhaust system really bad stock sound sucks!!

if you dont want open headers and are looking for a decent HP gain and want the absolute loudest full exhaust system for the busa...look no further than D&D 4:2 system.....mine looks great and drives everyone wild... 8)

I don't think open headers is quite what im lookin for.  However I will keep the D&D in mind I always heard those where loud.  My first bike was a 600RR and I had a Jaradine RT-1 with a race baffel. I know this bike will never be piercing loud like that because of the difference in size but I still like people to know I'm coming. Thanks for the advice.  Was the D&D easy to install??

Keep the advice goin.

I went with a Hindle, not too loud but just right for my taste.  I lined the inside bottom of my fairing with "heat tape" and have had no problems.  Something you might want to try if you haven't.

the D&D wasn't too bad on isntallation...its what i was expecting for a full system and took about 2 maybe 3 hours to do....and i think some of that time was going back to the store for more beer??
