Depends on what you want to do,  lowered,  Yes for dragracing, the lower the better.  It has been said about .10 off the quarter for every inch lowered.  Tire, many say a 180 turns better,  my opinion its more of what tire brand than 180/190.  I have  a 180 on mine right now and dont care for the look, looks very skinny on there, but hooks up good at the strip cause its a Supercorsa Supersoft.

180 vs 190 - The bullshit about a 180 turning better is just that. The reason many people think a 180 turns better is because most tire manufactures make a 180/55 vs a 190/50. This means the 180/55 will have a taller profile then the 190/50. If you compare a 190/55 vs 180/55, the 190 will have a bigger contact patch and offer more grip at full lean. Not to mention the fact that the Busa has a 6" rim and most tire manufactures (except Dunlop) design their 190s for this rim. A 180 on a 6" rim will deform to a flatter profile then intended.

However, I assume that because your thinking of lowering your bike (good for strait line stuff only) your more concerned about strait line traction. Hopefully one of the drag racers on the board will post a response, as I don't know much about that stuff.

You are really looking at two totally different uses.  Flat line vs. curves.  I've had a 180, 190, and a 200 on the busa.  I can tell you for a fact (not imagined or bull) there is a noticable improvement in turning with a 180 over a 190 on a busa.  I'm sure it has eveything to do with it being a 180/55 as opposed to a 180/50.  I haven't had any problem with traction on a 180 in mountain turns.  Would a 190/55 be better for grip?  Probably, but they don't make any DOT tires that are only 190/50, so if your leaning toward the bigger tire why not go for the 200/50.

As far as lowering it, if your set on doing this go all the way and definitly do a 200 because your handling will be shit in the corners anyway and you can't make that up with a 180.  Whatever you do good luck and have fun with it.

All the way.
