soften your rear shock?  Make sure your suspensin isnt binding anwhere or botttomig out which will casue it to spin. then try a soft tire

It will never hook on the street with a stiff sidewall tire at 8psi! Get rid of some of your gear try 17/42

Its hard to hook a bike on the street. I am at about 67 inches and have a regular old shinko and it hooks hard at the track.

My d208gp hooked great on the street and the track with 20-25 psi in it at stock length 16-40 gearing.  I just ran the compression on my shock at the middle or a bit softer and slowed my rebound down as far as it would go.  1.53 sixty foots.  It aint great but respectable
