I always wondered what that first turn was like.  Was there a cross wind??  Looks like yer leaning on the top end.

No cross wind....The bike kept drifting left because I was looking around the camera on the left....which shifted my weight off center. I was leaning pretty good by the 3/4 mile mark. The course is much smoother than it looks...the camera mount is adding to the movement.

Dave any idea how fast that run was?

That was 214+ mph.....looking around the camera slowed me down a bit.....next pass was 216.9, then 219 again.....

DOWNLOAD THE VIDEO WHEN ITS DONE!!! MANY DETAILS ABOUT EVERYTHING!

THE CAMERA MOUNT WAS THE BEST SYSTEM I HAVE EVER USED, ITS THE SAME MOUNT YOU SEE IN MANY OF MY OTHER MOVIES. IT DOESNT SHAKE UNTIL YOU GO OVER 180MPH ON A NORMAL ROAD!!!

P.S. THE CAMERA HAS FULL IMAGE STABILIZATION.

That was fine!

That runway looks narrower than the Texas one mile.

Thanks for the video, Nick.  Very Happy

I think that's a good example of how onboard video really doesn't give a very good indication of speed. Here's a bike doing 214+ mph in this video, but it doesn't seem that fast.

I guess the only way to get the true sensation of speed, is to actually do it.  Wink

Congrats again, DaveO.   thumb

when i watch the video i think of being on the highway going 180 on the ZX11.and then TMH passes me going 200+ and it's back to reality.the bouncing vision reminds me of the helmet shake from the wind.

Could you imagine crashing at that speed? Rustman was going nearly that fast before his bike went down... Shocked
