Homemade TRE on an 06 1000 doesn't work..?
« on: May 02, 2006, 07:37:26 PM »
i've always made my own TRE's on ALL the bikes I've owned and own now. I know have a 05 busa, 05 gsxr 600 and a gsxr 1000 (06)
I've had 02 busa, 03 busa, 03 750, etc...
They've ALL worked flawlessly until this 2006 GSXR1000. Got the resistor, didn't cut the blue wire and not only did it not work, the neutral light wouldn't work.
Is the 2006 GSXR1000 internally different (it must be) that the previous years? I can't figure this out. It all looks the same, but I'm guess since there is a gear indicator, it's all diferent in the CPU, etc.. ?

no it will work if you want it to  :D take the time out and make a switchable one so you have your gear indicater then when you do a top end run  just  switch it
