Cam install?

I have installed a 1397 kit and all the recomended parts from ape but am a little worried about the cams. When i turn the motor over by hand the cam chain wants to flex off the exhaust side.(starts to rise off the sprocket then drops back on) dont know if this is because the tensioner isnt out completely or i have something installed wrong. thanks for any help........

sounds like the tensioner isn't out far enough,remove the bolt in the end of the adj and take something and stick in the hole to press it out more.

Thanks for the info. Finally figured out the adjustable cam sprocket was installed wrong on the intake cam for the exhaust side.
