Gonna run from a 50mph roll till 160? or faster?

Who do you think will win?

1397 motor might be at 200hp tops. Busa/rider weighs over 670lbs

My bike/rider is 580ish

I have both, And if they start in first. And the 1000 can stay down wheel wise, The busa better have a air shifter, And stay tucked. If 2nd gear, the busa should do it,s thing, More people better wacth out for the 1000,s If a 1K has a pipe,PC/Tuned,Gearing, and cams, 05 Gsxr 1K that is. I think a 1397 or ZX-14 can forget it.

Well it didnt happen anyway. I waited 20mins for the dudes to show.... no dice.

In first, Im not scared to hold it open from a slow roll. Bike runs mad fast right now with stupid simple things.

When I do the extended ecu, 520 conversion, and short stacks... it will be all over for those turds.

Considering GeorgeC's 10R traps the same MPH as his Busa did stock then i think you would beat a stock Busa.

But i'll be more than happy to roll against your new toy with my 1397. I doubt your bike and rider weight are 150lbs less than mine either...

Well you and i can still do a roll on (60 - 160) - the power to weight of the new 1000SS bikes is amazing and i do think you could keep very close. But let's set these guys up so we can both pick on them some night and tell them there are a few quick bikes gonna be a Gville on the 27th for there veiwing pleasure if they want to see one...hahaha

My bike with 3gal of gas and my brick weighs 753lbs with me on it according to the Prostar weight scale i used. If you know of any scales near Jax we could use it would be cool to put just the bikes on there to see true wet weight...

There is one at the 210 truckstop thats accurate over 500lbs. Costs $7 for a certfied measurement though.

Straight line? I still think the 1397 would win. And I'm biased towards the 1000s to begin with, but they just don't have the aero that the busa does, nor the torque curve. Honestly, it likely would come down to riding skill, and these guys sound like turkeys.

There was an interesting post on really fast 1397's on another site sometime last summer. It documented five 1397's of stock wheelbase length all of which ran 8 something at speeds over 160 MPH in the quarter. I'll bet on one of those five.

Only reason i say it wouldnt be a good race is because my buddy austin has a 06 1k and when i had a BDE gen 3....map....filter....16/40....tre....and ram air scoops on the busa.............. we would jump off at 60-65 i would pull out on him in second prolly due to the torque and then through 3-4 gear he would reel back in and stick out ahead till i clipped 6th gear then i would start pulling away from him ever so slowly......also to add he is a 155 wet(almost 230 for me)..........so a 1397 would be no problem pulling away from the hit and continuing to pull ahead with ease......and yes we are both riding ass mofo's

I doubt that from the part (if a 1k.......)but would make for a good run.......

Ok... met up with them again today... but the race didnt happen. There was also a new Zx14 at the beach today as well with 100miles on it. He wants to run me... since he read Brocks DB.com article, but only when he gets it broke in...lol. The 1397 busa is waaaaaayy long... like 8" over easy and its foot shifted. I know the tire is past the tail light. Aint no way in hell he is hooking that pig up from a 40mph roll.
The reason why I think I can win is because my bike and me weigh in at 604lbs... I just measured it on a DOT scale in my riding gear and 3 gallons of fuel in the bike. Im guessing my bike is making somewhere around 160ish right now. Still have it mostly stock.

I was gonna run them last night on the 12 at 59".... but they werent around. Im realy excited about this bike from a roll.... its going to be loads of fun to hurt some feelings on a mini bike.

Ill line up with yu from the roll........for the hell of it .........i dont know that yu will kill me either.........we will know in a month or so right.....
