Can a Innovate LMA3 give you more hp than a power commander?

The LMA-3 is an accessory to an LM-1, which is a datalogging tool utilizing a wideband O2 sensor...  Ideally you would use it in conjunction with a Power Commander to help you tune your bike.  The LMA-3 by itself won't do a dang thing for you.

So I would need a LMA3, LM1, and Power Commander?

In a nutshell, yes...  You can get by without the LMA-3, as it just allows you to monitor more sensors/data...  The basic LM-1 "RPM kit" comes with the LM-1 and RPM converter, and allows you to log A/F ratio, throttle position, and RPM, as well as three other 0-5v sensors if you wanted.

There is a better way...... DL-32 and 4 LC-1's. This way you can tune each cylinder for maximum performance. Not to many people have the DL-32's in stock but we have 4 right now. Let me know if you have any questions. Chris     azx12rush@aol.com

There is always a better way - but money usually precludes that in many things in life...

I never said you had to do anything. I did it because I wanted to. I like the remote record feature compaired to the LM-1 and it's about a 1/3 the size. I couldnt mount the LM-1 anywhere within reach.

As far as $1300 goes, its cheap in comparison to Race Pak or other data recorders as you well know.

Well thats great, Im glad that set-up works for you. Im watching more than just one O2 sensor and the flexibilty of the DL-32 fit my needs better.

The XD16 lets you read more than 02.  I am not well versed in it yet but it lets you know RPM and Throttle postion as well...

Im still learning myself.  My ZX12 ran a best of 8.40 at 170 last year as a 1320. We are in the process of putting a 1420 together now and wanted the DL-32 to monitor things such as clutch speed, wheel speed, AFR, TPS and duty cycle.  We dont have a motorcycle dyno anywhere close to us so we wanted to make sure our tune-up is atleast on the safe side of things.

It is more than a 1340 isn't it?  Got some N20 on there as well right?  You may find better info on bikeland.org

The four O2's are not a bad idea....just pricey and a involved to install neatly. For most the single O2 is quite sufficient. I just have my injectors flowed and balanced then I know single O2 is not skewed.

Running spray I can see the four sensors being helpful....in case you had a clogged jet/fogger on one cylinder.

This is a friendly place, with a lot of info shared. I just want people to know you DON"T need that setup to tune correctly IMO.....

You like it and it works for you...thats great.

Some people won't use anything other than Motec/Racepak....We have had great luck with the LM1/LMA3 combo(where the DL 32 came from.
