You need to get the Timing Module.

http://powercommander.com/ignitionmodule.shtml

Then you need to fill out some form before they show you/tell you how to use the RevExtend feature

Nobody that I know has got one that works.....and some have had numerous units that did not function reliably...I am of course NOT speaking form personal experience....last instance was a friend racing with us whose ZX10 would not rev past 10K rpms....it was the 2nd defective module he had gotten.....remove unit and bike ran fine.

Thats why I posed the ?....so many on here recommend products they have never used/tested...and no offense meant to Grizz.

thanks for the advice, i have a lightened & balanced crank good to 14k if i want, plus some good valve springs  with a cam mod.
just would like to get a few more r`s pulling .motor is still pulling hard all the way to the  limiter. i know it can stand another 500/100 r`s. but if the module won`t work right then i`m better off like i am . i guess it`s a chance if i buy it that it will do what it is supposed to. :?:

Joe,

You can take a chance on the DJ module....or have a stock ECM modified and guaranteed.

Dave does all my ECU's never had any problems.
The only problem I had was with a rev etend from dynojet where it hits the limiter than maybe will work 1 out of 10 times
also locks the injectors up at the extended rpm's. we took it out !!

I also know of someone that tried the rev extend on an 04 suzuki 1000.  It did not work either.

Have you just run them on the dyno....or actually riding them top speed? They would work occasionally on the dyno.

However...DJ tells us they now have the problem figured out...maybe you have new ones??

Well, I went out there twice and gave them a little help. I've taken the bikes out, and the rev-xtend feature does appear to work. Though in 5th and 6th gear, I couldn't tell you - I'm not watching the tach at those speeds :~)>

Grizz,

I heard they finally figured out you can't tie the coils to gnd or the ECM goes into confuse mode and shuts down....thus shutting down early....

Sounds like you have ones that actually work....you are the FIRST person I know off.....we had to take them off a friends "mag" bike at maxton to allow it to run above 10K.....and he wasn't the first. It would run up in a lower gear or two...but not every gear....actually cut out early....

And then there was his quickshifter that killed the engine for FOUR seconds....lol

They have good products when they are debugged BEFORE release....
