FAST BIKES - JULY 2003!!!
« on: July 10, 2003, 09:00:00 AM »
LATEST ISSUE OF FASTBIKES....

ZX12 V NEW ALL BLACK BUSA V ZZR12 V XX

Guess what....the 12 kicks ass again. Funny how in the independant mags, free of " publishing Group policy" the 12 always cunting wins eh? Wankazzz!!!

"It'll outrun the Busa, blow the blackbird into the weeds, and wazz all over its stablemate. If you want the fastest bike in production, it has to be the ZX12R"

"So the winner is, the awesome ZX12R. When you simply have to have the biggest, baddest motherfucker of a motorcycle, then only the ZX12 will do. A truly awesome motor combined with excellent handling and rock hard good looks win it for me."

2ND OPINION>>>>

"the engine is so fast it makes even the busa's feel tame, and the suspension is excellent. I am such a fan that i almost bought one , and thats from a tight northerner"

"Being the lightest and most powerful, it doesn't take a genius to work out why it has the best acceleration and outright top speed"

THEIR SUMMARY:

>WORLDS FASTEST PRODUCTION BIKE
>AWESOME BRAKES
>SPORTSBIKE HANDLING
>AGGRESSIVE GOOD LOOKS
>UNIQUE MONOCOQUE CHASSIS
>LOW CENTRO OF GRAVITY

Up yer dog sperm spattered kilt Vegas

Good looks?   you probably thought that the fat chick on Shallow Hal was good looking too.  If  you want to start impressing someone with that bike use another color besides puke green.

I see Fearful Kowasucki's signature ...

"KAWASAKI ZX12R - FASTEST PRODUCTION BIKE IN THE WORLD!!!!!"

... only in the minds of ZX-12 owners.  The rest of the world knows the real truth.

... put down the crack pipe FK, and tell those "independent" mag editors to do the same.

Obviously, this guy has an inferiority complex, otherwise he wouldn't be here if he felt adequate with his ZX-12.

Just out of idle curiosity, why are some magazine articles treated as gospel around here and others are ignored completely.

Just a question.

I thought I'd never have any bike other than a Kawasaki (My first was an '84 Ninja).   What's there not to like about the Hayabusa?  There are so many high performance vehicles being sold out there(Cars too) that are, in my opinion, always missing something to make them perfect.   Suzuki has done it, ....maybe twice.

I guess it wouldn't affect a thing if you had heard that Suzuki is Motorcyclist's biggest advertiser either. It works both ways.

Jamie has a history of making up his own reports and giving us *his* interpretation of how he thinks it should have read.  Back in 2000 FK did this over and over.  After about the 3rd time I started getting hold of the writeups myself and finding the real truth.  THUS - my testdata page was born:  http://myweb.cableone.net/toddshelton/testdata.html

You'll notice that one bike consistently outperforms the other at will.  Time after time - in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Sweden Italy - you name it.

Doesn't matter who advertises or what continent.  The results are consistently the same 99% of the time.  FastBikes has been one of the very few exceptions since 2000 when they used a borrowed, crashed, unrepaired but repainted (non stock paintjob) Busa against new 12s.

Give us the real scoop voices in the UK.  We know we aren't getting that now - would be a first ever.

Fastest?!  As we all know both bikes were restricted after 2000 and the only article I've seen that de-restricted the two, ran them head to head, saw the same results as before:  BUSA ON TOP:

SportRider Magazine October 2001

Restricted 2001 models are de-restricted

Title: Big Dogs

Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa
Power : 158.0hp @ 9750 rpm
Torque : 98.4lb @ 7000 rpm

Kawasaki ZX-12R
Power : 159.8hp @ 10250 rpm
Torque : 91.4lb @ 7750 rpm

Top Speeds:

Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa : 192.4 mph
Kawasaki ZX-12R : 190.2 mph

i must add the article in the frame here is a very good one and they openly admit 2 bikes of the 4 are a bit outclassed / dated but very worthy and speed kings...the conclusion reads.........these 4 bikes all offer a slightly different take on the speed theme,2 of them are aimedmore towards touring, the other 2 at out-and-out sports performance.the kwakzzr has 2 finish last, because of its poor performance in the handling stakes, but also because the level of comp is so high now in the big bore category, that being adequate isnt enough.sure the zzr has a fantastic motor, but then so have all the others.the blackbird cruises into 3rd spot.the best bike to go touring on,with just the right balance of handling and comfort, you know its gunna last the distance and still beg 4 more thanks to the build quality and reliability that comes as standard with every honda.the battle for the top 2 places is a close one AND WERE TALKING A GNATS COCK HERE.,but its the busa that JUST loses out.its a FANTASTIC motorcycle, that does everything a sports bike should do ,more power than you will ever need, with suprisingly good handling-LET ONLY DOWN BY THE POOR BRAKES.so the winner is the the awesome zxr12when u simply have to have the biggest, baddest, motherfucker of a bike, then only the zx12r will do.a truly awesome motor combined with excellent handling and rock hard good looks win it 4 me.

now i read that as not getting away with being slaughtered by the 12. i admit the brakes on my busa are shit standard. so if uprated where would it come then...as for looks-well thats personal...i think my mates wife is an ugly dog-but hey he luvs her.

read further  (by the way i did caps to show the bits i think may not be being read prop)zzr1100 -8.030 pounds     cbr1100-8.289 pounds      busa-8.589 pounds    zx12r-9.330 pounds....    now i aint stupid and i know i can uprate my brakes nice for the 741 pound diff.

then we have speed runs
zx12r- 0-60  3.83s , 183.11  28.04s
busa- 0-60  4.22s  , 181.93  24.94s

then power graphs that show not a chink in the busa power until the kwak takes over at 9k....busa looks like ummm...156bhp ish and kwak looks ummm....166 ish.

the second opinion also bad marks the brakes at where it looses out..

there are 4-5 pages of indepth testing on these bikes but that was the conclusion.each having good and bad points-horses for courses as they say...honda 4 touring-beats the lot so hey...the honda is better than your kwak buddy..if you want to tour...yada yada yada.
oh and what did the kwak get bad press on--- um let me see....fuel consumption-80 to a tank if ridden hard,,,questionable stability under hard acceleration,,,lack of rear rebound damping on the bumpy stuffstop start traffic scenarios as the clutch lever span is awkward,,,CHINK

SO A BIKE THAT BEEN OUT 4 A LOT LONGER THAN THE 12R IS HOLDING ITS GROUND STILL AFTER LITTLE/NO CHANGES MADE....WELL DONE THE BUSA (and indeed the 12r as it is a mighty beast) but i dont want to stop so brakes dont bother me

OH AND....ALL KWAK RIDERS ARE QUEERS ANYWAY....NER NER
go away you are boring me now

Since nobody pointed out the roll on times to this imbecile I guess I will have to do it
60-120 3.79 the Hayabusa trounces the zx at 4.56

0-150 11,62 the Busa romps the zx at 12.76
And a small note the Busa takes 24.94 sec to get to its top speed while the zx takes 28.04 sec.

Next time you read the article shit for brains don't forget the rollons which prove who really is KING OF THE HILL

Yes sir there is.  I'm FAR from a professional rider.  I ran a 10.4 @ 137 mph.  Taking my time slip and curve fitting a distance vs. time plot, my 0-60 mph time is 2.836 s.  Those "professional" rider should be a lot faster than that.
