HID - McCullough install question
« on: June 15, 2006, 10:48:08 PM »
How do I connect the two wires coming out of ballast that have the bare spades  to headlight plug?  I'm not sure if I am suppose to cut OEM headlight plug off and solder to HID wires, push spades into headlight plug and tape, or what?  First time removing the front end assembly ...didn't realize the entire front end had to come off to do this ... Managed to break a plastic bracket/mount that was on inside left-top of fairing...the piece where the left upper dash panel connects to via plastic rivet.  Shit!  Ruined my night.   I just roughed up plastic and trying to glue back on with gorilla glue ...not sure if it will hold or if I'm screwed.  I got the HID bulb installed, igniter mounted to top of dash and just have the ballast to mount to air intake duct and I should be good to go.  I did do a search and found lots of info but nothing about headlight plug wires.

I just pluged them into the old harness..they push in there farther than you think they will.  Mine kinda snaped in and i thought it didn't really go in far enough, then i pushed more and they went in farther.  So try that.  I'm sure if you wanted to you could put some silicoln or something on it to keep them in
