Motorhead Undertail
« on: June 05, 2006, 09:47:59 PM »
I ordered a Motorhead undertail for my '06 LE. I have 2 questions.
1) Can anyone provide installation instructions, or a link to them?
2) Should it be mounted first for fitment, then painted? Or is it a good enough fit to paint right away?
Thanks.

you have to drill holes for the bolt holes. I would full fit it then have it painted.

Mine is going to be painted Monday. But I took off the tail just to see how long it would take. I didn't get any instructions. It took me about 15-20 minutes to remove everything and about 10-15 minutes to re-install. Throw in some drilling, re-wiring and re-bolting, and I figure the entire undertail install should take me about an hour or so. Not bad.

it took me about an hour to install mine...but that included cleaning up some tail light wires.

its a nice piece.
