Instrument cluster problems
« on: August 21, 2006, 06:47:31 AM »
Folks,
my 1k is an 02 model.  Lately it's been giving me trouble - the tach goes back to zero, the temp guage "dashes out", speedo quits.

All these things happen but go away - BUT, I can't race it w/o a reliable tach.

I figure it's a bad ground somewhere.  I've been looking but don't see anything obvious.

Have fun - some of the connectors on the '02 1K have been known to simply have a loose terminal. So if it isn't something obvious, go through and check every male terminal for wobble. I had one that kept me pulling my hair out for 2 days.
