It's been a while since I changed one............but I'd just about swear it's 36 mm...........the same size as the rear axle nut.

now to answer your next question:

put a 2x4 through the spokes of the rear wheel, and use a breaker bar on that 36mm. no need to stand on the brake, and you don't need anyone to help ya.

Your welcome.

Ouch, I use an electric impact. It works easily and isn't that hard on the shaft.

it doesnt hurt anything, you can wrap the 2x4 in whatever you want. ive impacted sprocket nuts before and had them resist. But nothing resists the breaker bar.

besides not everyone has impact wrenches laying around. and when your in a hurry....a 2x4 works.

Rear tire nut is 36mm and the front sprocket is 32mm and the clutch basket nut is a 30mm.

Sorry for the misinformation on my part. I usally have all the tools I need on hand, and when I need a socket that BIG I just start grabing until I get the right size.

Next investment for you is a PITBULL rear stand.
