Compression and Leak Down Test.
« on: July 31, 2006, 10:11:26 PM »
Had some oil in the air box the other day. Figured it was from too much oil, was at the top of the sight glass on the last change. Did a compression and leak down test just to be sure. 1st time I’ve down either test on this motor so I don’t have a reference test. Also the 1st time I’ve used a leak down tester but it seamed easy enough.

148 to 152 psi across all 4 cylinders
13 to 18 % leak down.

Are these numbers “OK”

01 busa, 17,000 miles
2 years on the track, 40 shot of spray this year.

Motor running good, no problems
9.46 on motor, 9.23 on spray.
