11 Miles 318 curves Vacation.... few pix

This is my first vacation out of Florida with my bike.

First view of the mountains



Steep cruve







Falling rocks



Foothills Parkway on the way there



Bike sitting in front of the our cottage



Test run completed (ready for the Dragon tomorrow)



We had to cross two mountains to get to the dragon.  It took us 2 hours to get there 70 miles (roads are sick crazy)





Stand up wheelie in a curve (crazy guy)



Another wheelie by (crazy guy)



Yes sir



Beginning of Dragon 11miles/318curves (crazy guy with full throttle)



Top of the Dragon (looking at the Dam)



Top of the Dragon (most beautiful view)



Little pit stop somewhere around 4th mile (top of the Dragon)



Opposite side



Look at the skid marks on the street (on the Dragon that means Death)



As u can see bike parts are everywhere, if a tree is marked red it means someone died (in most curves trees are marked)



You better have a parachute if you go off the road here.



Nice curve where u have some gravel on the side where u can stop and take few pix



Gas station at the end of the Dragon where the tree of the shame is



Tree of Shame (parts from people that crashed and died)



Yep



Premium at $3.11 that day (07-01-06)



On the way home (Foothills parkway)



Foothills parkway – Road is wide, curves are not sharp, no traffic, u can easily do 100 to 150 try these curves.





I have nothing but respect for those people that ride dragon daily…… power to you…

nice pics i'm there all the time but red marks on the tree doesn't mean people died and everyone on the tree of shame isn't dead and skid marks don't mean death :?

Nice pics. I am there alot too.  I live close by but I bet you had a hell of a time with that wheelbase you got.  I got a buddy that is stretched 6 and he hates the Dragon.  It takes him forever to get through there.

Yeah I’m 9 over and had my girl on the back so every curve that I took little harder it started bottoming out (exhaust and fairings).  It was a great experience, fun also.

That day had a camera mount so the screen had to go…  Haven’t seen any cops there, I guess I got lucky.  I didn’t know you can get a ticket for no screen?

It's a great place during the week, but the weekends can get a little too busy...
I think I'll be making another trip up there again this year before there are too many leaves on the road... :wink:
