Usually yes! Out of a few hundred Busas i've mapped with every kind of pipe out there the good pipes all make around the same power. Every bike likes something a little different just like one map never fits all.

It'll be off by a couple 2 maybe 3. I know, I made the change to a BDE and picked up a couple from the Akro.

Probably because of the outlet size.

To weld a bung on the Akro All TI Evo, can you use a SS(02 sensor) bung and have some one weld with a TI rod ? And the All TI Evo has bigger tubes then the Reg SS Akro Right?

you can't easily weld unlike materials together. The newer Akra's have the bung already for the newer models. You can buy just that mid pipe (2 into 1 section) with it already there in Ti. As far as if it's an EVO or race system you should be able to tell the difference by the headers.

btw.. I've got the same problem... my evo is circa 2002.. I've just got to buy the newer mid pipe in Ti and swap it in...

I made the change from a BDE to a Akro Evolution and picked up 2 HP. Just shows that every engine is different.

Yes , Race is 38mm primary tapered to 42

EVO is 42 tapered to 44

You might check with Graves Motorsports to see if they can sell you a 02 bung .

Yes you can get a steel bung and weld it in. You can get bungs also from Burns stainless, to probably even Jegs or Summit. Dynojet sends bungs with there wide band commanders so they probably sell them to.
Steel for steel, Ti for Ti, and Alum for Alum.

order your akra system with the bung.... no welding needed. It's on their web site and is available in the USA.... you just need a dumb dealer to look two or three part numbers down in his list!  :duh:

Quasar, The inside is 53mm I just mic it. Im very happy with the pipe, And the end cap is bigger than my Gen 3 Hindle. And as far as Quality goes. I dont think there is a better pipe. And the mid-pipe is 60 1/2 MM almost 2 1/2 inches on the outside.

Ti force sumo has bigger secondaries, collector, mid pipe and a 60mm in 60mm out can.Check under ozbusa forum under members photos under ti force twins.I agree the lowest possible backpressure where your making the least horsepower will make the most noticeable difference.I,ve found ceramic coating helps right off idle torque as well.I,ve read its a balance between velocity and backpressure.Keep the gases hot, keeps them fast and then you can up the pipe size for less backpressure within reason.I think the hmf dual system would have to be the best breathing system on the market.Their x pipe is miles better than the stock effort, its just twice the weight of a 4 into 1.Now if only they made it in titanium??

I remember your Akrapovic system you had for sale, it was the "Race" system, not the "Evolution" system.

The "Evolution" system has larger bore tubing, and does flow more than the "Race" system.

The "Evolution" system does make more power than the "Race" system, assuming proper tuning.

I got you Cookie.

You certainly did! Thank you, Sir! :thumb:

So Cookie! did you get it yet? Its a nice pipe, # 1 in build quality, And Crazybill I am not downing Brocks pipe at all, But The Sumo and The Akro Evo shows that these pipes are close HP wise. I just wanted my $ worth in build quality.
