You need to set up your suspension before you hit the track. If you do this you shouldn't be dragging any part's. Also, if you get off the bike, a little further you won't have to worry about scratching your baby anymore!Just my .02
Not exactly. There is no "setting" that you can do that's going to make the front end okay- you need the correct front springs in it, period. The stockers are downright unsafe. I wouldn't recommend doing anything more than the slow group on a track day if you still have stock front springs in your Hayabusa.
And once you do get your suspension correct, it still doesn't prevent you from dragging hard parts. It just raises the speed at which it happens. I had Dave Hodges of GP Suspension re-spring and re-valve both ends of my Hayabusa Superbike, and I was still dragging the stator cover and the fairing.
You are correct about body position. Due to the excessive width of the Hayabusa's engine, your body position needs to make the most of the limited ground clearance that is available:
