« on: August 28, 2006, 10:05:46 PM »
I'll be a pedestrian this time around, but I'll offer moral support to anyone wo needs it.

Who's coming?  Post up.
Yeah, it made 500 hp at 32 psi.

We are planning on being there with a turbo this time but still waiting on Motorhead to deliver the turbo. Hope he gets caught up real soon because Jen will be really disappointed if she doesn't get a chance to run over 200 MPH this time. I might even get on the bike and make a 200 MPH run. I just wish the Texas Mile and the Texas Shootout were not on the same weekend. We would get more bikes at the Mile if the schedules were not conflicting.

Very, very tempting.  Let me talk to GeorgeC and see if he is game.  It is 14 hours from Jacksonville, FL...

Bro and I are in if we can get the bikes straightened out, but we will probably just come out on Sunday as my brothers son's birthday party
will probably be on Saturday. I do believe a few people from the Texas ShootOut will be coming out, mostly 12's. Some will run at the ShootOut on Saturday and then pop out to the Mile to run on Sunday. Entropy will be out running his all motor 12 (1427) and I believe Buddy will be out with his 12 also (1375). Plus a couple more 12's from Houston and maybe some from as far as Iowa and Chicago. Should be a good showing for 12s. Hope the weather holds and the wind is low. Can't wait to see you all there. Hope to make 200mph this time! If things don't line up right I'll come out and spectate also.

I'm in. Hopefully the cam chain will decide to hold together long enough for me to break 200 this time. The motor is putting down more power than last time, and the busa will be getting some new body work and a new tank to lighten her up. Plus I am going on a crash diet to lighten myself up.

There will also be a 12R and a 10R and a 06 Gixxer 1K coming with me.
9.13 @ 156 mph, getting closer!

Yup.  I don't think the cam chain issue could have been any worse.  I doubt you'll be unlucky enough to have that happen again.  I'll be pulling for ya.

Sure it could have. I could of had to replace the crank, cases...........

If it happens again then I am done racing that bike. It will go back to stock form and be used for commuting while I locate a new machine.

I guess I should have said "issues strictly involving the cam chain, guides, and tensioner.  If I remember the pics, it was a pretty knotted up mess in there.  Broken cases, bent valves, dinged pistons, etc.  would have been a tad worse.   :D

RCC Ultra kit,,,, 500+ HP,, 3-7 Macintosh arm, currently set at 3" over. Ohlins drag shock, adjustable lowering links, upgraded brake lines ( Golfer), Catalyst Turbo upper and lower.  Tranny has all the goddies with 5th, 6th ODs. I have a 19T and 20T front sprocket. 20T will be on bike at race day. 40T on rear... need a 38 or 36.  WIll. more than likely have a 38 on the rear because I cant find a 36T.  If you have one, put it in your back pocket and bring it with you.
