I will be going again.  I was bike number 200 last March but fell short.  My bike and I will be about 50-lbs lighter in October if I can loose another 8-pounds.  I am serious about the low 190s this time with 200 coming in March of 2007.  I am waiting for my head to return from Carpenter Racing Engines.  I will then start working on my starts at our local 1/4 track.

Rustman, if you do not have a ride.  I might be looking for someone to show me what a pro can do on my bike.  But no 200 mph stoppies.

  Well, for starters, I'm not much of a pro, but we will be in the company of some.  I don't have any safety gear at the moment, as mine was all roasted.  I don't think that I would want to put anyones elses bike at risk since (obviously in my case), things can happen.

I got an offer to make a pass or two on the Team Jornic bike last time but I declined because:
  1. I wasn't familiar with the bike
  2. I did not want to be responsible for such a nice bike
  3. I was self-absorbed in my own quest to improve my performance on my bike.
  4. Amber Ciappi was using the bike to give 9 second Jen some competition.

I'll will you to a speed that exceeds your expectations.

I guess I should have said "issues strictly involving the cam chain, guides, and tensioner.  If I remember the pics, it was a pretty knotted up mess in there.  Broken cases, bent valves, dinged pistons, etc.  would have been a tad worse.   :D

Ur right, it could have been much worse. I could have had the room next to you in Austin, so I'll be happy with the twisted metal.
9.13 @ 156 mph, getting closer!

9 second Jen and her dad, race track might be getting a MH turbo for thier bike soon. I saw them in San Antonio a month or so back for the ShootOut. Unfortunetly it got a tad bit rainy and was rescheduled. Hope
they get it for the October run, zip lock bags and all.  There is no doubt she has good riding skills and does not mind cracking the throttle open. I'll bet she will be the fastest girl on a bike soon.

All right, Dan!!!

It'll be great to see you in the Lone Star State!!!

I'm also planning on seeing if my ever-suffering ole heap still remembers how to stay WFO for a mile.

I'm planning on being there, got an offer from Charlie (Busa200) that I can't refuse!
I'll be at Maxton next month too.

I will be going to the Texas Mile in October.

I am looking for 190-MPH in October and 200-MPH the following March.

Entropy will you be running the old Monster motor or the new Mad Scientist one? I think the fastest N/A record is under 201.

Looks Like my Bro and I will be out only on Saturday as his son's Birthday party is on Sunday. We will probably clean out his Nos lines this Saturday and start prep'ing his Busa.

I hope to have my little built motor ZX-12 in the frame this Sunday and maybe running next week.

Looks like we will have a Good showing of 12's this year!

Gary,
I'm hoping to run the Senior Science Fair Project Motor; with a lil luck I'll have it on the Tejas dyno on Sat.

Talked to Cheese early this morning, and then sent him a dozen shims for your Project :D  he'll have em Fri.  Sounds like you will ne maing some noise pretty quick.

The NA folks haven't been able to get out of the 190's for the past couple of times.  If the winds are calm and everything comes together, maybe we'll see some strong 200+ runs this time.  It would be very cool to see some NA bikes breaking the barrier.   :)

Your right SleeperBusa and that was a windy day too. I keep thinking it was you that ran that. It was all new to me back then as my Bro and I were just spectating. If you decide to keep your bike and freshen it up with a little bigger motor give me a shout as I have a 6 1/4 mm  stroker (I do believe it is as big as you can go without shorter rods or cam chain to gear conversion).

Yep, it's tough for the N/A guys to get to 200. I do not think anyone has done it since then. There should be a good showing of some fast N/A bikes this time though. I saw a nice N/A 1507 Busa the other day that will probably be running, I think it might have had a little of Dave O's magic touch on it.  8) 8)

I'll probably try a couple N/A shake down runs with my slightly built 12 and then run just a touch of juice for a few more. Just hoping for an extra 4 or so mph to get me to 200.

The Texas Mile people just up-dated their site a little, but all the rules seem to be the same. Hope they do not spring any last minute stuff on us.

Looks Like my bro and I will just be out on Saturday instead of Sunday as his son's 2 year old B-day party will be on Sunday.

Hope to see ya there RustMan, It'll be good to catch up with ya and see how your doing.
