Brake Pads
« on: September 04, 2006, 08:46:14 PM »
Well it's time for me to get some new pads for the busa and want some ideas on what to use. I've looked at some Gold Fren pads and some EBC HH pads. Which pads will work good and last long. Will the HH pads destroy my rotors? Any help would be great.

I recently ran in the rain and I found out in a very obvious way that the pads suck when wet. The are very good when dry but, lose about half the initial bite when wet. Anybody second that?

Unless I made a mistake I have EBC HH pads. The only other answer is maybe, I went through some oil but, when I would hold pressure on the brake lever they seem to dry then start working better. Then, the next time I used them they would do it again.

any kind of brake pads will not perform 100% if the get wet for some reason. i have the stock pads on my second busa & every time i wash the bike, the first few miles brake sucks

I agree but, I have rode in the rain alot and it didn't seem that the stockers would drop off as much as these pads have.

EBC HH works just fine.  Never noticed any decline in the rain, either.

A little noisy, is all!  :D
