Where to Get a Helmet Hook?
« on: August 07, 2006, 09:30:56 PM »
Not sure if that's what you call it. Where can I find that hook (or whatever) that allows you to attach your helmet to the rear of the bike? I have an undertail. Thanks.

Jynxter (H.org) did a mod where he just bent the hook open, and it makes it about 100 times easier to get a helmet
on the hook.
The mystical trend of our time, which shows itself particularly in the rampant growth of the so-called Theosophy and Spiritualism, is for me no more than a symptom of weakness and confusion.

Is that the mod where you grap the hook with your finger and pull it up a little bit. :duh:

You've got the right idea, just the wrong tool.  Use a piece of pipe that fits over the hook, or a
big pair of pliars and bend the hook up and more open.  Makes an amazing difference.  You don't have to fight with the strap like a dork trying to get your helmet back off of it.

Not really, I just grabbed it with my finger and pulled up a little bit so it was open more and easier to get the helmet on and off. No need to use a tool or big pliers at all just your bare hands.
