A guy here in Jax and on this board a few months ago dyno'ed his box stock 06 G1K right before an 06 10R and the Gixx made 162 while the 10 made 155...

I was in the same boat about 6 months ago... For me, it was all about comfort. The two are so close in performance, it's just what feels right to you....... I went with the 1000 k6 though...... Just my $.02

I doubnt it is a 7 rwhp swing - that would be near impossible on a stock for stock bike.  And we DO know that the rider is 90% of most races between similar bike...

yeah and the magazines dynod the zx-10 at 166 and the gixxer @ 159.. the dyno is as useless as tits on a nun.. the GPS doesnt lie..

not on GPS they dont.. the gear ratio is completely different on the gixxer.. the stock gearing is 17/42 compared to 17/40 on the zx-10.. also the transmission gear ratio is way differernt.. you can hear my bike when it leaves side by side with the gixxer.. the gixxer is into 2nd long before the 10.. thats the reason why they make a short 1st gear for the 10.. which is the same exact ratio as the 03-04 suzuki.. im sure you know all that already..  do some research before you talk liter bikes bro.

G1k all the way, i have 1k and adn the other guy at the shop has  a 04 10. Been smokin his ass since i go tmy 1k motor.
That craz gearing hurts the bike, but it did 190 at the rear on a superflow with head work, full muzzy, PC3 and IGN mod, short stacks and a tre mo, with street bmc. and a thinner head gasket

down here the r1 doesnt even line up next to gixxers.. they race themselves and hondas and thats it.. there isnt 1 down here that i have seen break 190mph.. you may be right on the r1.. i dont even consider them worth watching they are so slow..

I lined my stock 05 next to a stretched and piped 10r  at the strip a couple weeks ago,  and he weighed less than me.  He got me off the line not by much and I caught him by mid track and pulled on him at the end.  Gearing probably was the difference,  but I will stick the  Suzuki reliablilty over the Kawasaki,   I had a 96 ZX9 and said I wouldnt own another Kawi.  Never had a problem with my suzukis and had many.

i have had nothing but zooks myself.. this is my 1st kawi.. lets just say they have come a very long way since 96'.. ill buy another suzuki anyday. matter of fact i have my eye on the 07. i wanna see how they run and get soem feedback before i decide..

ahh ok.. the record is 203 on the bottle anyway.. also, i dont think any biek from that event goes in the maxton record books cause the classes were designed by superstreet. they werent the standard maxton classes..
