zx10 or gsxr1000 ?

I'm bout 2 get 1 of the 2 zx10 or the gsxr1000  which is more bang 4 the buck , with the mods only done tre,pipe& power commander

I think its too close to call.  The gixxer makes power earlier, wins the roll-ons in top gear (which may not matter to you), I think about 1000 rpms later for the 10R (Hp or torque peak).

The gixxer is more aerodynamic with a rider on it, per the wind tunnel results from the most recent Sport Rider.

The gixxer has been around for longer.

I think its too close to call, at this point get the one your heart says to get!

depends what you wanna do with it.. the zx-10 makes a bit more power up top but the gixxer accelerates much harder due to the long 1st gear in the zx-10.. honestly it really comes down to which style bike you like better or if you like the twisties i would say gixxer.. i love my zx-10 tho and wouldnt trade it for anything else out there..

really you could.. the 1000rr and R1 are pigs.. i have an 06 1000rr with a best top speed od 184.5.. my zx-10 did that with just a pipe untuned the 1000rr had about 5k in it.. the r1 is the same a pig on top and a horrible powerband..  if your into twisties the honda is 1 of the best but its a pig..

I love to argue with the people who think they know everything.  Once again - you can't lose with ANY of the new liter bikes.  184.5 is no slouch in any respect and can easily be made to go faster.  Many N2O R'1s are plenty fast...

sorry your right.. the cbr can be made to go 198mph.. i have seen them with 3mm kits and 200hp and still i walk them on my zx-10.. they dont have ram air mr gnd and therefore they pull like shit up top.. I havent seen an r1 or cbr beat a gixxer since the gixxer came out in 03.. bottom line is if you are into top end dont waste 1.00 on an r1 or cbr they dont pull up top i dont care what you do to it..

Since you are in The Top Speed Corner, the gixxer 1K 05-06 has better areo,s.

Not to hijack the thread but at Maxton I dont think I have seen a modern R1 or CBR crack 180mph and have seen a lot of them struggle to go 170 even.
