i know a couple shops that have done that swap...and from what i understand its ALOT of work.

The Poison Idea- TMH T61 Ultra kit (500+ hp), 3-deg frame rake, BST wheels, Speigler 8-pot calipers and masters, Mac 0-6 arm, full CF body work.

seems like alot of work when you could just buy a Busa???   Kinda like buying a v6 camaro and trying to mod it up so it's as fast a a z28.  Just ain't the same imo.

+1, just a 1070 kit and mild head work and you would have more power than a busa motor, less work and no added weight :)

the major advantage of installing a BUSA motor is that the Busa engine is more durable and you can build a HELL of a BIG motor with it (1500 cc's  plus)

Doesn't the Busa motor fit easier into the earlier model GSXR's, like the 2000-01.
The 02 onwards are built narrower.

the 2001 and 2002 gixxer 1000 are the exact same bike, the only thing they changed from 01 to 02 were cosmetic(ie paint scheme and different mirrors)
