Thanks for all the help Tom and the haul. Always a great time. Hopefully we can always do this stuff, even at Dannys age. it was great to meet Rustman, the "living" legend, and Carl. What a ride Carl! Everyone is always great at this event and always wanting to lend a hand. "southern hospitality" I guess. Peace

Danny and I are kindred spirits.  I admire that guy.  Fun to hang around with, great attitude, and he goes for it.  I don't think he'll mind if I say he's 57.  I'm planning to be the same when I'm 57 and 67 and on.  I have a little work to do before I get there though, but he makes a good role model for us aspiring adrenaline junkies.   :thumb:

Danny is a nut, there's no telling what's going to come out of his mouth at any time. I was also impressed with the man that was in his late 60s(guess) riding the zx-12 running high 190s :thumb:, hope I'm still able at that age!

What did Entropy(Karl) run on the green ZX12?  It was extended about 8" and had black marvics on it.  He is in his late 50's early 60's.

In my opinion, and I am a Kawi guy, the 14s are all hype. They don't run good mph. Don't know if it is the bike, operator, or tune up but I am not impressed. I was really close to wasting my money on one a couple of months ago.

Glad to see you guys had a lot of fun. Sure wish that we could have been there but we had to go to the Texas Shootout to get some points. Didn't have a great day but Jenn managed to get enough points in the Street ET to finish second for the year. We hope to be back at the Texas Mile next year and join that 200 MPH Club.

I ran a buddy who has a zx14, I'm on the 12.  Both of us have muzzy pipes, filter, pc3.  I have short stacks, he doesn't.  I'm unrestricted, he is still restricted.  I have a race front upper, he has the stocker w/mirrors.  He has the butterfly or whatever removed.

He weighs maybe 190 vs my 120 no gear.

I was in 2nd, he was in 1st, roll on from maybe 60????  I had 18/44 gearing instead of stock 18/46 with a taller tire that adds 3-4 mph more top speed.

He jumped out (obviously) 3 bikes or so, shifts into 2nd, another minor wheelie but he didn't have to back out of it.  By the time I click 3rd we lock up.  4th I reel him in and by the end of 4th I am passing him a few mph faster.  5th put some distance on him for sure.

Either way you look at it, the 14 is pretty torquey but the 12 still has steam up top.  Hell ask any Busa guy who's run a comparably equipped 12 up top.  The 12s pull hard.  No way I would buy a 14.  Truth be told I hate Busas and I would rather own a Busa over a 14.

Come on .... your sig said 6.3s @ 118 mph  and you only weigh 120 ?? Hell man my zx14 stock wheel base on pumps gas ran 5.9s @ 125 mph  and i out weigh you by 30+ pounds .... It's very clear to me that you are a good rider and the guy on the zx14 was not, plus the  70 pounds different between you and him... We all know rider makes all the difference.....You should also note the Muzzy pipe is down  7 to 8  hp Vs the brocks pipe and map ... I tested this with my zx14 ..Muzzy pipe and map was 147 mph in the 1/4 mile and Brocks pipe and map was 153.60 in the 1/4 mile ..

ALi,

Sorry...all of the 14's I have dyno'd made 185rwhp/110 ft lbs with just pipe/PCUSB and pump gas....

No 12 with the same mods will touch that....obviously your weight and riding are the biggest factors....

Deb,

Go back to work....lol

1300hemi:  You also have to realize that I'm losing a touch of ET with BONNEVILLE 18/44 gearing!  I don't think I have yet run anything quicker than stock, maybe -1 once.

Also, I'm horribly rich for the nitrous and have 3 degrees taken out.  I'm sure 1-2 mph is in it from a better state of tune.  Maybe another 1/10 from better gearing.  And I'm no pro launching.  Mainly 1.7s...have hit some 1.6s.

Dave:  The day will come when a Kawasaki will overthrow that Busa of yours....just you wait!

Ali,

The 14 is a more powerful bike than the Busa with just bolt on mods....period. We proved it at Maxton with Brock's...and proved it again at Gville when Chip Ellis went 9.08 on it after I rode it to the pad....UNCHANGED from Maxton'sw setup.

It's going to be a while..IMO before ANYONE releases a production 240rwhp bike to make mine obsolete...
