well theres the prob its only running 120mph in the 1/8th our hood ratt back yard motor is running 129mph in the 1/8!!
small cam 1397 with a average exhaust will do well. Bob motors have 425 /415 cam and need a good exhaust to take advantage of the wide lobe separation on the cams. make hp at high rpm so you might need to adjust your launch style also.  :P :P

Fastone, I am not necessarily disagreeing with you about wide lobe separation and the need for a good exhaust.....................but what relationship between overlap and exhaust system are you referring to?

Sorry for the confusion Dark Falcon but I'm refering to lobe separation and camshaft centerline. Wider lkobe separation usually make hp peak hightr in the power band. Thus need a larger exhaust to take advantage. Tighter lobe separation make powerr lower in the power band with a little more midrange tq. so a smaller exhaust can be used with good results because the motor is not moving as much air  through the exhaust. But this increase in overall tq can make a bike faster in the 1/8 but not in the quarter mile. just my opinion. Like comparing big block chevy to sm blk

Fastone,

Can you tell me more about the extended ecu.
I think that my Busa could benefit from a little more rpm.
My current limit is 10,800, I would love to be able to try 11,500.

Thanks.

DaveO and Matt Wright have that info.  11,150 and 11,350 based on the year ECU...
