I have an HMF Bigbird but will probably sell it and get a Murray Spider so i can be loud an annoying...

I really don't think you'll need the sidewinder to accomplish that. You've got that licked already! :ll: :ll:

I don't think no one is denying that bob cannot build power and it stay together. The complaint is for 4500 you should not have to go get the bike tuned and if a customer is unsatisfied then something should be done to make it right. I can f**kup parts and money at home and get lucky every now and then. If the bike isn't running the number with that kind of 60 foot it is bad rich down low. the only reason it is sixty footing so good is it is down on power down low. Get the bike tuned and try it again. my 02 cents

The other one you dont care about may pose a bigger issue than you think this next year. It has been the most consistant and faster 60ft, 1/8, and 1/4 times.  And that was only last year.  May not compete with the turbo hp #'s :thumb: which we know but not bad for all motor for the first year and you recommended Bob to us, and like you said with Bobs old tune.  And im not trying to start trouble either! as we all used to be friends.  A good tune is well worth hp numbers. :thumb:  P.S. Pat, bike looks sick and from what I hear should run like a fugger!!!

I do it for my own fun. :thumb: Didnt I race 2 of those bikes all year And Shawns with you on it at the end of the year. Jeff is the only one ill be racing again and last he said it was for 200 so you better put the big pills in it and HE is riding it. Your welcome for the nice compliments on your bike and TRYING to be nice.

We used Carpenter for a bunch of stuff.  I always did the tuning on our own dyno, and his 200hp packages make 190 on our DJ250i, not a big deal when it's the et and mph that count.  If the bike is setup right and tuned well you WILL run 122-124 1/8th, 152-154mph 1/4 putting you in the high 8's.  Also make sure you have a GOOD exhaust since his packages are based on increaded flow.

I agree that his packages are a little low on a 250i but as absolute cycles statesd the number in hp isn't as important and the et and mph is. he gets the job done. I just ordered a 1397 from bob for mybike

I know a guy at my local track with a 99 Busa, 6" arm, geared to use 3 gears (strange), anyway, he has Bob's 210hp 'Head & Cam' combos with a Brock-Hindle pipe.  The kid is about 165-170lbs, pulls 1.45 sixities and 3.85 330s and runs 8.80s at 155mph.  I thought that was pretty stout.  It cranks off 1 battery also.

I'm going turbo with my Busa, but Bob has his act together with all motor applications.

Good luck.

what exhaust is this bike running, sounds like its a little choked in the exhaust department. Making good torque off the line but is not coverting fast enought with small exhaust. Also get your bike tuned on a dyno that is in your area. you may loss some peak hp but your linear hp and torque should go up. Next make sure you got some good clutch springs and clutches in the bike could be slipping even with a medium weight rider. Tune a little before knocking the motor. If the motor is bad rich it will sixty foot but it won't run for shit on the other end. with a lite rider try stock gearing and you make pick up a tenth there and some mph. Law of demensing returns when it comes to gearing

216 hp on a 1397 dynoed on a 250i dyno isn't a bad corrrected number. You will probably pick up 10hp with the sidewinder and a good tune. Carpenter motors need to breathe good on the exhaust. bob tune for racing that is all and the motor is safe a/f ratio. I agree with you on the tuning 4500.00 should get u some decent tuning. Holla if you need any help. sidewinder should pick free up some hp onthe big end too

carpenter maps the bike for topend hp that is it. to make the number. If you want a driveability tune or a perfect tune I suggest you stat with a local dyno that is in your area and take out the extra rich bottom end. This is usually the case because he start tunning around 6500 to 11400 if you have an extended ecu
