Swingarm Spools
« on: December 20, 2006, 06:19:13 PM »
Just bought an '07 Busa a few days ago and purchased a Vortex stand for it.  It can be used with or without swingarm spools.  I tried it without the spools and had a little bit of trouble clearing the brake caliper bleed valve when using it, so I purchased some Lockhart Phillips spools.  I did a search here and found a few threads from 2003 and earlier where a few people had stories of spools snapping and the bike falling over.  Anyone have any recent reports or stories of this happening, and if so, was it the spool bolt that snapped or the weld on the swingarm?  I'm a bit nervous now about using a rear stand, but would rather not purchase and install the Suzuki centerstand.
