TO KANJI OR NOT TO KANJI
« on: December 28, 2006, 12:27:10 PM »
Take a look at the paint scheme.  Decal will be black.  Should I put the big Kanji on the side or not?

i took mine off my black busa, like it better w/o... anybody that counts knows it's a busa anyway. but a lot of people prefer the kanji on there and thats cool... just my opinion i like plain and simple... nice paint / color by the way.       :thumb:

I think I'm leaning towards putting them on.  I have several other black decals on that are cleared in and I think the sides need some black to make them match better.  But they are not going to be clear coated on so I can take them off if I change my mind.  Thanks for all the inputs and that last pic is a good comparison.  I'll post up some pics later.

Originally i took mine off and loved the clean look, but i realized it was my fear of replacing them cuzz i couldnt appy a decal to save my life!, by posting and gettting advice on how to appy decals(Kanji in this case), I idecided to take a stab at it. i realized after spending $$$ on a new set, new color, I was risking the fact that 1 mistake was going to waste the whole kit and there was no turning back. Amazingly after like 3 painstaking hours, they came out awesome, no air bubbles, great placement blah blah blah, i will post pics of the final result when i bike is revealed in the projects section, when the total bike is com-pleted. i am  very pleased and love the final results after this very painstaking task which frankly i didnt think i was going to pull off, I have some new found confidense and think i m ready to now degree my own cams lol!, NOT!!!, one word of advise, I switched Kanjis colors, styles like 3 times, make sure u are happy and choose the cright look for your bike and not what everyone else has done!-please post pics, to let us see your results-Happy New Year. 8)

I have seen aftermarket paint styles look good with Kanji off.  But stock paint styles look horrible with Kanji off IMO...

I just did this really quick to see how it looks with the Kanji.  I don't think it looks bad at all.
