8 more hp than last year.

Notice that this is in DIN.

They also tried the A-B-C map and in C map it had 126 RWHP.

Couple quick things i noticed the Correction Factor is in DIN i know you posted this already. The smoothing is at 4 so you know there trying to get high reading no biggie but were im lost is how does it make 32 more foot pounds of torque over the 06 and 9 more foot pounds over the zx-14?

it's one thing whatever the bike does stock. The REAL story is when the Big McLargehuge double muffler/noise emisions exhaust setup is nixed for a decent single pipe kit.

If we get a new busa, stock exhaust setup is probably gonna weigh 75ibs alone if the setup on the 07 1k is any preview.  :bah:

We don't use Foot pounds here . We use Nm.

And again its not really important if it shows 170 RWHP or not but the fact that it had 8 more horsepower than a 06 on the same dyno under similar conditions.
I dont know what I am talking about but I do know that I am right :)

Yeah NM are not equal to ft-lbs. The HP number might not even be right.

The important results are that they said an 06 on this same dyno made 8hp less. So chock up the new 1000 at +8hp. Pretty solid improvement!  :thumb:

Would the New larger ports and the more aggresive cams alone give this kind of gain?

If so Could a guy just bolt up a 07' head to an 06 and be on his way?

Seems cheaper and simpler to find a parted out bike after the race season starts than going aftermarket... :?

I'm such a cheep ass!

A cheapass? It would end up costing you more than just modifying your bike to surpass the 07.

Thats alot of HP for slip/bolt ons, I still say Dump the Black Cat box and bolt on a pipe on from under the oil pan, behind the SET more power and less Heat.
I took my 05 And cut the pipe behind the Set, Then got a 03-04 mid-Ti pipe and mounted a Bolt on can on it. :thumb:

No new busa, its dead. The new 1000 is Lighter, Faster and more Nimble than the 1300 was ever.

Sad but true.

They are keeping the Motor of the Hayabusa alive in the B-King though

I think Suzuki has to Bring out a New Busa for 08, The Gsxr 1K 05-07 is fast, the ZX-14 is Faster, and If they let the busa stay the same for 08. There will more people going over to Kawasaki. I say there playing it smart, Making sure they bring a winner to the table again.

Wait until summer or Sept for New info !

stock Zx14 vs stock K7 1000, The stock 1000 Wins. I'm very happy to see a well built 1000. K1 and K2 1000s were highly under powered.

w/ a 18/40 Sprocket set on the 1000 and the 187 limiter removed. I wonder if that puppy can hit 200

While i think it possible that it will be as fast as a zx14 with a light weight good skilled rider i don't think it going to be any faster..I have raced a 06 SS/1000 that had a very good rider (pro) and he only weighed 127 pounds ...My stock wheel base, piped and P/C on pump gas zx14 beat him  with better ET and MPH.... I don't think an 07 gixxer stock is going to beat a SS/1000...I want a new 07 gixxer but i'm waiting to see if the clutchs Hold up to drag racing and to see if it holds up to the hype....Time will tell...

I don't disagree with you on slip/ons making much of a difference but I added a slip-on to my 05 zx-10 and I was able to walk my buddys gsxr 1000 when I could only hang with him before. He was about 50-60 lbs. lighter then me.  I added a powercommander and it was even uglier.. I never would of thought the slip-on to help much but it sure seemed to.

Ha! My GSXR600 was walking some of the cocky'est k1 and k2... Ya sure they can wheelie w/o a problem but I've seen 750 mapped almost = to the 1000s of the time.

and I can't even tell you how many clutches my bud ha to install in his 01
